Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

Hear from our former Interns:

—- Hey! I’m Carol! I’m from Brazil and I was a intern in 2019. I was hosted at Shirley and Arthur Oddy home. They were much more than hosts, parents, grandparents or something like this! They were like angels in my life and because their service I could feel like a had literally a family during that time.

I was a intern for almost 6 months and I met a lovely church, lovely people, lovely place!
Everything about Christ Church and St Luke’s was so much better than I ever could pray it!

Having Ellis as a partner and be “the girls” with her and be led by a brazilian vicar were things that made my heart understand how many gifts God was going to deliver in my hands!

I had great experiences with every part of these churches!
I was received with so much love, care and happiness and definitely these are some attributes of this people! They’re every time trying to act like Jesus did!

I went to serve but I was so blessed by this people in many levels that I can’t count!
Hope can see you again! Miss you and keep praying for you! ❤️

—- I’m Ellis, in 2019 I went to the UK to be a intern in Christ Church and St Luke’s, and it change my life!

Since I was 15 years old I knew about my missionary calling and God told me about England. My heart already loved this country before visiting. When I arrived in the airport I remembered everything God has told me and I realized that I was living it in that moment.

I had the opportunity to live six months serving the Lord with an amazing community. I met people so full of joy and kindness. I felt at home!

God gave me the opportunity to have different experiences and I grew up so much in theses months. Until today, after 3 years, I still have some lovely friends that I made when I was in England.

I’m so grateful for everything I lived, I’m so thankful for God’s promises and His faithfulness. I’m so grateful to Anne and Chris Kean for having welcomed me into their home and treated me like a daughter, I will never forget it.

I loved every single day about this internship. I love Worksop and Christ Church and St Luke’s community. What an honor to meet people who love jesus with all they have.

This internship change everything in my life, now I know God in a different way, I am assured of my calling and every time God tells me something new or give me a new promise I know that it will came true. And He will take care of me in every step of my journey, like He always do!
