Our vision is to be: ‘A Community of Grace, Loving God and Neighbour.’ Everything we do contributes towards this goal as we seek to engage with our local community.
We are a welcoming and active evangelical church who strive to live for Christ and in His love. Our purpose is to enable personal spiritual growth through faith and knowledge of the love of Jesus Christ through encouraging Christian fellowship and study of the Bible. We are here to be a cornerstone for every part of our community and to meet their needs.
OUR COMMUNITY
Christ Church is a vibrant community which loves Jesus. The Bible and worship are at the heart of all we do. We are part of the wider community of Gateford and Worksop, and have good links with local schools, charities and organisations. We are proud to support Bassetlaw Foodbank and Hope Community Services, among other charitable organisations.
OUR ETHOS
We are part of the wider diocesan vision focused around Growing Disciples – Wider, Younger & Deeper.
We aim to enable individual spiritual growth and to encourage and strengthen Christian fellowship; to spread the word to the community by developing a welcoming and inclusive environment offering practical support and Christian witness. The church acts as a channel to bring God to all people, to fulfil a spiritual need and to provide a foundation for the community.
Christ Church is of the Southwell and Nottingham Diocese and the Church of England and has CPAS as its patron.
