Gabriel – First Few Weeks
Hello!!
My name is Gabriel Rodegheri, I’m 20 years old, born in the city of Valença state of Rio de Janeiro. It was in Valenca where I began to walk with Jesus.
I grew up in a Christian home and many uncles and grandmothers who are pastors. Their testimony inspired me to get involved with the ministry.
Later I moved to the city of Juiz de Fora state of Minas Gerais, where my passion for the kingdom of God was increasing even more.
It was there, too, that I had my first experiences with God, the desires of my heart started to change and my dream became to live life doing the Work of God.
In addition to the pastoral call, I also got involved with music and found out more about missions.
Since then I began to prepare for the things I believe God was telling me and that’s when I decided to move to Belo Horizonte. I went to do the Charismatic Theological Seminary in Lagoinha Baptist Church under the direction of God.
Day by day this desire to follow Him was burning more and more in my heart.
I went to the Theological Seminary at 18 and graduated in December (2016) last year.
And now I am living this missionary experience, I am very happy to be here in England. It’s only been a few weeks, but I am sure the next 6 months will fantastic.
I am impressed by the beauty of this place, the flowers, the gardens, the brothers of the Church. And in this new environment God has led me to go back there in the past, to return to the creation of man.
As I look at these landscapes, I remember that in the beginning of everything, God made a garden for man to live and it was good. My first week was very tiring mentally, I came back to feel like a child which could not communicate with people, I could not walk anywhere and depended on people for everything, it does not make much sense, but I know God is in control.
It’s good to go through moments like this that difficulties make us grow, we only grow when we are tested, and knowing this leads us to dependence on God again.
I am impressed with the families and church reception. Everyone treating me with affection and attention, wanting to help us in some way.
I feel I have a duty to fulfil, to repay all this effort of yours.
My willingness is to learn the language soon to communicate better so I can express all my gratitude.
I have a lot of expectations for this time, I believe that God will do great things, I hope I can contribute and help as I am sure I will also learn from you.
I already have this church as home and you as family !!
The peace of Christ !!
